I need to find out who owns a phone number because I want to make an offer to them. Does anybody know how I can do a free reverse lookup?

Go to and click on reverse lookup. Sometimes it will tell you who the phone number belongs to and sometimes it will just give you the area the phone numbers is from. Other than that, I am pretty sure you have to pay to get more information.

If its a land line I would recommend. There are tabs at the top, one of which is reverse phone. Or just follow the link.

go to google and in the search box, type on the phone number, using the dashes to separate it – if the phone # is not unlisted, it will come up – along with the address

Hi,

If it is a listed land line number you could try whitepages.com, anywho.com, 411.com, switchboard.com.

If it is unlisted then this method won’t work. It will not work for cell phone numbers too as they are considered private information.

There is only way you can do a free reverse lookup for both the above cases. That is using the Internet search engines – google, msn, yahoo. Just type the phone number in the search book and hit the search button.

You may not succeed on the first try. Try out different combinations like putting the number with in quotes, using the area code, and any other details you might in combinations. You might just be lucky and get the information you are looking for.

If nothing works try service which is reverse lookup service that offers excellent value for money. If you are not satisfied with the results then ask for a refund!
