Why not call your grandmother and ask her?
If it is a land line you could try whitepages.com, anywho.com, 411.com. If it cellphone number you are looking for there are no free directories for those.
The only way to do a reverse search for “free” is to use Google.com and type in the cell number like this:
“xxx-xxx-xxxx”
“(xxx) *** xxxx”
and so on. Try Yahoo and MSN as well, as their indexes fluctuate and differ slightly.

But try Google first.
